The traditional American college soccer pathway isn’t the only option anymore.
Families across North America are exploring study-and-play programs abroad for better soccer training environments, pursue their education, and create opportunities beyond the American system.
For some players, playing soccer abroad can create a stronger pathway toward college soccer recruitment. For others, it can open the door to long-term opportunities to live and play in Europe.
PlayAbroad helps players and their families navigate these opportunities, connecting them with trusted clubs, soccer academies, universities, and development programs across countries like France, Spain, Germany, Italy, Ireland, UK and more!
North American student-athletes often hit a barrier: limited roster spots, crowded systems, and no clear pathways after youth soccer. When families want to explore abroad soccer opportunities, they’re expected to navigate a completely different football world on their own.
Our founder, Logan Meadows, knows this journey firsthand. Having navigated the American soccer system before pursuing his dream of playing professionally in Europe, he experienced the challenges of finding opportunities, securing trials, and figuring out the steps required to make it abroad. His experience made him realize made him realize:
