Your Journey Starts Here
Choosing to play soccer abroad is a major decision. Whether your goal is playing soccer in Europe, playing with scholarships, or improving your soccer resume;
Our 4-step process guides you at every step of your journey – from your first call to stepping foot overseas.
We begin by understanding your goals, timeline, and preferred pathway. This helps us identify where you stand and what type of opportunities align with your background.
Your Highlight video is required. Coaches, academy directors, and university staff base their initial decisions on footage. Our team also uses it to evaluate level, playing style, and best-fit environments across our network.
Your profile, video, academic situation, and goals are reviewed to identify realistic opportunities. We understand where you fit, how competitive your profile is, and which options abroad make the most sense.

Any questions?
We got you.
The short answer is yes! That being said, every school and every country offer a different educational landscape, where costs can vary tremendously. Some countries offer free education to European students and close-to-free study options for Americans, while other areas of Europe may have similar educational costs to that of a state-funded university in the USA. The cool thing is that PlayAbroad can help guide you to the right university that fits your specific budget.
When it comes to acquiring a visa, your PAguide will walk you step-by-step through the given country’s requirements and support you in all documentation needed. So, while PlayAbroad does not get your visa for your – we do act as your guide throughout the entire process.
Yes! Of course, in the UK and Ireland you will be able to study in English, but other parts of Europe offer this option as well. For example, many of the universities in Germany and Holland offer English-taught study options. When exploring universities here you can click into a specific university, and it will tell you if there are degrees offered in English. Once you become a client, your PAguide will be able to assist you in finding the right English-taught opportunity for you.
Yes! In fact, almost all the schools that PlayAbroad works with are FAFSA eligible. When exploring for schools here, you can select a given school and it will say whether it is FAFSA eligible or not. Furthermore, once you become a client, your PAguide will walk you through the student aid process in accordance to the specific school(s) you are interested in.
This will all depend on the country and city you decide to PlayAbroad in. Similar to the USA – where a coffee in NYC will cost you much more than a coffee in Asheville, NC – so too will a coffee (or housing) be more expensive in Paris, France than that of Bremen, Germany. The good news is that your PAguide will help you understand living costs specific to cities of your choice. Whether you live on campus in London, or off campus in Amsterdam, your PAguide (along with the school-representative) will outline what to expect in terms of living costs.
